Isabelle Lessedjina

Chairperson / Special Envoy, Rawbank / Finance in Common

Isabelle is a seasoned financial industry leader with over 25 years of experience across Emerging Markets. She currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of Rawbank and as Special Envoy for the Finance in Common Summit, where she advances the global agenda of national development banks in support of sustainable development.

She is recognized as an expert in governance, financial markets, structured finance, and fintech/technology, with a strong track record in shaping standards, building resilient ecosystems, and driving capital markets development initiatives. Her thought leadership includes publications on governance and fintech, as well as active advocacy on financial innovation and policy design.

Over her career, Isabelle has worked across banking, NBFIs, consultancy, fintech, and infrastructure, holding senior executive and governance roles at organizations such as Nyala Ventures, GE Capital (GE Ghana), Royal Philips, TCX Fund, and other regulated institutions. She has steered strategy, scaled businesses, grown P&L, negotiated complex projects, and structured long-term financing across EMEA.

She holds a degree in Business and Financial Risk Management, an MBA from IESE Business School in Spain, and a Certification in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors (IoD), UK.
