Ryosuke Ushida

Ryosuke Ushida

Director for International Policy, International Affairs Office, Financial Services Agency of Japan

Ryosuke contributes to regulatory discussions on at international forums such as the G20, G7, FSB, and IMF, serving as Director for International Policy at the JFSA since July 2025. He also leads international AML/CFT Policy on Crypto-assets and stablecoins as Co-Chair of the FATF Virtual Asset Task Force.
Previously, he spent three years as Chief FinTech Officer, leading work on fintech and innovation policy. Earlier in his career, he held various roles in supervisory and policy planning bureau. From 2019 to 2021, he was a Senior Fellow at Georgetown University’s Cyber SMART Research Center, focusing on regulatory frameworks for decentralized finance. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from London Business School.
