Senior Managing Counsel, Visa

Doug Campbell-Pitt is Head of Privacy for Visa's APAC and CEMEA regions, with responsibility for implementing Visa’s Global Privacy Program in all markets within these regions. Doug has been Senior Managing Counsel in Visa’s Legal team since 2019, with lead responsibility for supporting various Visa businesses including Data and Risk Products, New Platforms, Consulting & Analytics and Innovation, as well as regional legal support of Risk and Compliance. Doug has participated in numerous regulatory consultations on new or updated privacy laws in various APAC and CEMEA markets, including submissions on cross border data transfer requirements and proposals for closer alignment with existing standards including APEC CBPR. Prior to Visa, Doug was head of Citigroup's Asia Privacy & Technology Law team for 12 years. Doug holds Bachelor of Business Science (Hons) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degrees from the University of Cape Town and has completed executive education courses through the University of Oxford. He is admitted to practice in England and South Africa.
