Aliya Kydyrbekova

Ms. Aliya Kydyrbekova is a seasoned professional with over 14 years of experience in the investment and financial industry. From 2012 to 2020, she worked at the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Kazakhstan (National Investment Corporation of the National Bank of Kazakhstan – NIC) since its inception, where she managed the private equity portfolio and contributed to asset allocation, portfolio construction, fund investments, and due diligence. She played a key role in developing and launching the Fund’s alternative investment program, encompassing private equity, hedge funds, real estate, and infrastructure. Since 2024, she has been leading the Business Relations team at the Astana International Financial Centre, focusing on attracting financial institutions and investments. Ms. Kydyrbekova holds a PhD in Innovation Management from the Eurasian National University, as well as a Master’s degree in Chinese Economy and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Fudan University in Shanghai.
