John David Yap

Executive Vice President and Segment Head, Business Banking Segment, Security Bank Corporation

John David Yap is a 23-year Retail and SME banking professional in the field of business development, analytics, risk management and financial planning. He is currently the Executive Vice President and Head of the Business Banking Segment of Security Bank Corporation, based in the Philippines.

Since joining the bank in 2021, JD has led the roll out of a new business segment dedicated to serve MSMEs. Since its launch in 2022, Business Banking Segment has launched multiple new propositions to address diverse client needs, leading to strong growth in its loan book and deposit client base.

Prior to joining the Security Bank, JD was based in Singapore and held regional leadership roles at Grab Finance, United Overseas Bank, Fullerton Financial Holdings and Standard Chartered Bank.
