Peiying is widely regarded as a leading financial regulatory lawyer, advising clients in Singapore and internationally on all issues associated with financial regulation. She leads the firm's Asia Fintech practice and Financial Regulation Group in Singapore.
Peiying advises the full spectrum of financial institutions, as well as technology and other companies expanding into the fintech sector, on various issues including: licensing and structuring; compliance with regulatory rules; corporate M&A in the financial services sector; regulatory change projects; and regulatory investigations.

She is the firm's lead in key matters in relation to our engagement with the MAS – whether on behalf of industry or client.
Peiying is an active participant in industry discussions related to fintech and digital assets, and in lobbying authorities on regulatory reform. She is the Chair of the Regulatory & Compliance Sub-committee and sits on the Board of the Blockchain Association of Singapore (“BAS”), and has represented BAS and industry associations such as the Singapore Fintech Association and ASIFMA on legal / regulatory reform, including the recent investor protection measures for digital payment token firms and the new stablecoin regime in Singapore.
Peiying is regularly invited to participate in discussions on key regulatory developments in fintech, including tokenisation, during the Singapore Fintech Festival. This year, she will feature in a panel discussion, “Navigating the Digital Frontier: Responsible Innovation in Asset Tokenisation in Capital Markets”, alongside the MAS, CONSOB Italy, and Kinexys. In previous years, she has also spoken on Singapore's leading potential in tokenisation, particularly in capital markets and payment services with SBI Digital Markets, and was a keynote speaker at a MAS-led closed-door industry panel on “Rules to Power a Stablecoin Driven Future Economy”. She is also one of the key speakers for an in-person seminar organised by the BAS on “Developing Singapore’s Digital Assets Ecosystem: Navigating the Current and Future Trends in Tokenisation Use Cases”.
Peiying is recognised as a Leading Partner in Legal 500 APAC and ranked Band 1 by Chambers Fintech Legal, and as a leading lawyer by Chambers APAC for her work in Singapore for Banking & Finance: Regulatory. She was also recognised by Innovate Finance in the global ‘Women in Fintech Powerlist 2019’ as an inhouse specialist, the go-to for fintech trends and an influential voice on sector innovation and diversity in finance.
