Senior Quantum Commercialisation Manager, HSBC

Cheryl Tanaja serves as the Emerging Technology Programme Manager at HSBC, where she spearheads the commercialisation of quantum technology and drives enterprise-wide launch of AI products in the market. She was instrumental in establishing the Quantum Centre of Excellence (CoE) in HSBC Singapore, marking it as the second global hub following the UK. At the CoE, Cheryl collaborates with a distinguished team of quantum scientists to advance quantum initiatives, including proof of concepts, business applications, and strategic partnerships with academia, regulators, and financial institutions.

With a robust background in leading data analytics, intelligent automation, and digital platform rollouts at at HSBC, JP Morgan, and UBS, Cheryl brings a wealth of experience to her current role. Additionally, she contributes her expertise as a Committee Member of the Singapore Computer Society’s Quantum Technology Special Interest Group, further underscoring her leadership and commitment to the field.
