Anthony Thomas

Chief Strategy & Growth Officer, Global Finance & Technology Network

Anthony Thomas has spent 25+ years in Banking and Fintech, and recently joined GFTN as Chief Strategy & Growth Officer.

Anthony is also Chairman of MoMo, Vietnam's largest e-wallet, since 2020.

Anthony was previously the Global MD of Delivery Hero's Fintech group for 4 years. Delivery Hero operates food and quick commerce businesses in 70 countries with a range of brands, including Foodpanda in Asia.

Anthony earlier served as CEO of GCash, the leading wallet in the Philippines. During his 5 years at GCash, the company pioneered digital offerings in credit, savings, investments, and insurance.

Anthony also held various roles at Citibank’s global consumer group from 1998 to 2015, across 7 markets in Asia, the US, and LATAM.

Anthony's experience highlights his expertise in fintech innovation to promote financial inclusion in emerging markets.
