Distinguished Engineer, Regulated Digital Assets and Currencies Incubation Lead, IBM
Dr. Elli Androulaki leads IBM Research’s product incubation on Digital Assets and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT). She holds a PhD in applied cryptography, with a focus on privacy in eCommerce, and was among the co-inventors of the first security attack on Bitcoin in 2011. Since joining IBM in 2013, Elli has served as a lead architect of Hyperledger Fabric, driving innovations in the security and privacy properties of the system. Her recent work explores cutting-edge technologies in regulated digital assets and identity. Elli is a co-author of a book on Bitcoin security and has published influential scientific papers with over 10,000 citations to date.
