GFTN organises convening forums, offers advisory services on innovation ecosystems, provides access to transformative digital platforms, and invests in technology startups with the potential for growth and positive social impact through its venture fund.

Vivek is Head of Global Trade Solutions at HSBC, responsible for our team of 5000 trade professionals across 50+ markets. HSBC is the world’s leading trade bank, acting as our clients’ strategic partners combining innovative solutions with deep industry expertise. Vivek is a member of both the HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking and HBEU Executive Committees.
Vivek first joined HSBC in 2015 as Global Head of Product for GTS. He also served as Global Head of Growth & Innovation for Commercial Banking where he was responsible for exploring new business models and driving the adoption of new technologies, before taking an external role as CEO of Serai, a digital B2B network. Prior to joining HSBC, Vivek held senior management positions in other financial institutions.
Vivek earned his Ph.D in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh USA, where he received the University's highest recognition awards for his teaching and research accomplishments.
