Global AML/CFT standards are at a pivotal moment, with the 2025 FATF revisions promoting a risk-based approach that strengthens financial integrity without undermining financial inclusion. Yet in practice, this balance is hard to achieve as conservative implementation of AML/CFT measures often continues to restrict access, leaving low-income and cross-border users excluded. This roundtable will bring together regulators, providers, and development partners to explore how integrity and inclusion can reinforce each other rather than pull in opposite directions.
